First Mommy Bracelet
I have been wanting to try my hand at making a Mother's Bracelet for some time. I went to Michael's and purchased some inexpensive materials to give it a try. I think it turned out pretty good for my first try. I did not have enough spacers to do the design I had in mind, so I had to improvise. Now that I have worked out how to piece it together. I will make one out of sterling silver.

Summer Vacation is Almost Here
The kids have three more days left before they are out for the summer. I have not even started to look for a summer camp. I am so behind on everything. We have had so much going on this past month. My oldest daughter was hospitalized for a week, my dad is in the hospital, and I don't know whether I'm coming or going. Oh well, I need to figure that out so I can get things back in order.

Jewelrygeeks.com
While reading one of my favorite blogs to follow, The Beading Gem's Journal (http://www.beadinggem.com/), I came across a website called jewelrygeeks.com (http://www.jewelrygeeks.com/). This web site is full of knowledgeable jewelry designers. They are very friendly and made me feel very welcome. I have found a lot of techniques I want to try while browsing this site. I recommend joining this site whether you are just thinking about starting jewelry making or if you are an experienced jewlery designer.

Works in Progress
I have been working on a few resin as well as clay pieces. Most are earrings but I did manage to get two bracelets done. I will post the a picture of the finished product.

Thinking
I have started a new bracelet made of turquoise colored shells, pearls, and other beads that I am not quite sure of. I started by placing the turquiose shells on a silver chain.
Next, I placed the pearls. I have gotten stuck at this point. I know I want to add different greens. I have to sit this one to the side and begin on something else. Something will come to me.
I finally finished the bracelet. I think it turned out nicely.

Pearl Necklace

I have been trying to find something to do with the pearls I found while out shopping for beads. I finally decided to try this wire wrapping design I found on http://www.wigjig.com/ . I think it came out well for my first try. I am going to make some earrings to go with it.
